The Schynige Platte Railway has been operating since 1893 on the same picturesque route between Wilderswil and Schynige Platte. Once at the top, you not only enjoy a breathtaking view of the Bernese Oberland but also a rich variety of fauna and Swiss traditions.

- The Schynige Platte Railway is equipped with wooden benches
- The valley station is located at Wilderswil train station
- Due to bad weather, train cancellations may occur
Schynige Platte is nicknamed “Top of Swiss Tradition”. Here, you can explore the Swiss Flower & Panorama Trail, a botanical alpine garden, and enjoy Alpine horn players between 11:00 and 14:00.
- Strollers and wheelchairs should ideally be foldable
- It's best to register wheelchairs either by phone with the railway company or directly at the starting station to ensure smooth travel
- Dogs are transported free of charge.
