Choosing this tour guide for my foreign friends in Xi'an was such a wise decision! I highly recommend her to anyone bringing expatriates to Xi'an! Her explanations perfectly addressed the needs of my foreign friends. At the Xi'an Museum and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, she didn't bombard them with obscure jargon. Instead, she used a historical comparison perspective familiar to foreigners to break down the stories behind the artifacts—for example, when discussing the Tang Dynasty terracotta figurines in the museum, she connected them to the characteristics of contemporary Western artifacts; when explaining the construction background of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, she incorporated the logic of religious propagation. My friends listened attentively throughout, constantly asking questions about details. Besides her professional depth, her service was also incredibly thoughtful: she prepared English brochures for the attractions in advance, slowed down the pace for exhibits that interested my friends, and even recommended local restaurants suitable for expatriates after the tour. Throughout the trip, my friends kept praising her, saying, "She's the tour guide who understands us best!" They truly felt it was excellent value for money, and they'll definitely choose her again next time they bring foreign friends to Xi'an!
Reviews: Xi'an Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum Terracotta Army half-day tour with expert guide and hotel transfer available

This half-day tour of the Terracotta Warriors was fantastic overall, a fulfilling and comfortable experience. Special praise goes to our guide, Ms. Xing Yajuan; she was incredibly thoughtful, professional, meticulous, and patient. Originally scheduled for 9:30 to 11:30, she led us for a full three hours, without any rush. She also made sure to check on everyone's needs, such as photo opportunities, restroom breaks, souvenir purchases, and whether we were pressed for time. Knowing that many of us dislike crowds, she would deliberately take us to less congested areas for explanations, making the experience clearer and more enjoyable. Ms. Xing has an exceptional understanding of the details of the terracotta warriors, explaining everything from clothing, hairstyles, and expressions to weapons and formations in a vivid and insightful way. I learned a great deal and gained a deeper appreciation for the awe-inspiring nature of the Terracotta Warriors. I highly recommend Ms. Xing Yajuan; she is one of the best and most dedicated guides I've ever encountered on any tour.

DO: Get tickets for the Camel Bell show.  It's the best live show I've seen in China so far. DON'T: Get tickets for the optional "An Army Reborn" show.  Not worth the money, trust me. The tour guide, Star, was very informative and communicated clearly.  Tour was well organized, never rushed or boring.  By far one of the best day tours you can do if you want to learn the history of these two locations.  Both locations are mostly open-air, so make sure to dress for the weather and prepare for a reasonable amount of walking.

A very positive experience on the tour with our tour guide Iris. She was a helpful guide in explaining everything and also made the ticketing process seamless. The detail on the Terracotta warriors themselves is extremely impressive.
