Reviews: From Pompeii: Bus Transfer to Vesuvius with Park Entry Fee
Guest User2026-02-19
The transport is excellent, as it takes you directly to the entrance of Mount Vesuvius. However, the walk from the regular parking lot to the entrance is long, monotonous, and boring (along the road). Subtracting the €11 entrance fee per person for Vesuvius from the total price (€39 per person), you're left with €28 per person for the bus ride. That's too much, especially with a full bus and limited space.

we did not have a guide. transport going to Vesuvius was fine. coming back the driver wouldn't let us go onto the minibus until the local rep argued with him and double checking all our tickets and things.
Reviews: From Naples: Pompeii and Wine Tasting Tour with Lunch
Guest User2025-06-22
Our family enjoyed being able to see the ruins at Pompeii. However, we expected a better experience from our Pompeii tour guide but she did not deliver. We were disappointed due to her lack of information given during the tour. Other tour guides were more engaged and were giving more details on each site. We would've given a lower score if the Wine Tasting tour was not included. The Wine Tasting tour was very organized and they all did a great job showing the group the vineyards and wine making process. The lunch was delicious and the wine was very good. We had a lot of fun there. The transportation was very good getting to and from our destinations as well. Overall, a great tour but wish we had a better Pompeii guide.

Excellent. We had plenty of time, and the staff led us into the Vatican Museums, allowing us to explore at our own pace.
Reviews: Pompeii Archaeological Park + Mount Vesuvius 1-day tour [Air-conditioned bus/Special lunch]

Pompeii was magnificent, but the weather was scorching. However, since the volcano tour was canceled, the trip wasn't too tiring. There were plenty of shopping opportunities along the way, giving us plenty of time to rest. We finally arrived back late. The tour leader said we could get a refund, but I'm not sure if trip.com will give us one.
