Reviews: Hwange (Safari) Day Trip from Victoria Falls
Guest User2023-11-07
Highly highly recommend a visit to Hwange National Park when you’re visiting Victoria Falls! My family enjoyed a beautiful and adventurous day in the parks with our wonderful safari guide, Bothwell. Among the day’s spectacles include herds of elephants, zebras, sable, kudu, impala, baboons, giraffes, elephant carcass from a recent lion kill and the shadow of a lion hiding under shade. Bothwell is an expert in the national park and safari wildlife, answered all of our questions about animal identifications (including tens of species of birdlife!), behavior and the safari ecosystem. He was patient with our requests to spend more time with the elephants, or pausing the jeep while taking pictures. We enjoyed a homemade lunch at one of the camps at around ~1pm. If we had better managed our time, we could have gone another route on the way back to the Main camp, which would have increased our chances of seeing lions or leopards, but it was already nearing dusk by the time we were heading back to the main camp. Something to note is the trip from Victoria Falls to the national park, which took ~2.5 hours one way given the poor road conditions (bumpy roads and poor infrastructure), so do factor that into your schedule and expectations. We left Victoria Falls at 6am and returned at 8:15pm. If you are able and if the transportation to and from Victoria Falls can be arranged, would highly consider leaving Victoria Falls earlier to indulge more at Hwange! Phenomenal experience and cannot recommend more!!!
Reviews: Chobe National Park Full Day Safari + boat cruise(Botswana)
Guest User2025-10-05
The Chobe National Park day tour from Victoria Falls Zimbabwe is a must experience, especially the water safari in the Chobe River, Botswana by Mr. Xhate of Kalahari Tours which was FUNtastic! Mr. Figo of Africa Travel Tours drove us to the Botswana border, a 70-km ride that takes an hour. During his drive from 7:00-8:00 am, we saw elephants & giraffes through the Zambezi National Park, Zimbabwe. Both Messrs Figo & Xhate pointed to us the Botswana Zambia bridge where four countries’ - Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe - borders meet. At the border: > We went through the Zimbabwean immigration. Their wash room has no toilet paper so bring your own; > Before going through Batswana Immigration, we had to disinfect our shoes as well as vehicles’ tires; > On Mr. Xhate’s drive to Kalahari Tours’ breakfast of coffee/tea, donuts, cupcakes & sweet clementines(?), we saw mango, banana & papaya farms; > From 9:00ish to noon, Mr. Xhate steered a boat for 10 guests along parts of the Chobe River and brought us as close as it’s safe to see impalas, hippos, nile crocodiles, birds, geese, cape buffalos, elephants herds crossing parts of the river; > the right side of the boat at the beginning of the safari is Namibian land; towards the conclusion of our water safari, Mr. Xhate touched our boat at the edge of Namibian land; > Around 12ish, we had a delicious lunch at Cresta Mowana’s Serondella buffet restaurant with lovely Chobe River views. Their shredded goat meat dish was the best. They also has tuna pasta, salads, carrots & peas, chicken, pork, beef & three desserts; > From 1:20 to 4:00 p.m., Mr. Xhate took us on a game drive of a portion of the Chobe National Park where we viewed the Chobe River, baboons, birds, impalas, puku antelopes, sables, herds of hundreds of elephants by our safari vehicle and from afar & more giraffes; > We headed back to the gate a bit past 3:00 pm then went through both countries’ immigration (Batswana Immigration wash rooms have toilet paper) in time to meet Mr. Figo at 4:30 for the hour drive back.
Reviews: [Official Ticket] Skyliner Keisei Electric Railway Ticket [Tokyo Airport Express: Narita International Airport - Ueno/Nippori]

Cheaper than getting it at the station. Online purchase is quick and easy. There was a long queue in Ueno station on the way back to Narita airport. The queue is for cash purchase and ticket collection with QR code. Approximately took around half an hour to get the paper tickets. You can choose the departure time, cabin and seats. Suggestively to get your paper tickets at least an hour before. Also, you may buy food to eat on board.
