A really good trip. Lots of historical sites. Pedro, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was also very funny. The tour included private chapel viewings not open to the public. Highly recommended!
Reviews: Porto: 1 or 2 Boutique Wineries w/ Winery Lunch & 1-h cruise

Our guide, although he drove a little faster than we liked, was informative and sweet. The two wineries we visited were stellar and both had excellent staff and owners. The food in both wineries was delicious but the lunch at Efemia was particularly tasty. The boat ride was also a great way to get a different perspective of the Duoro Valley. It was a totally enjoyable day!

Great day out with Jorge keeping us engaged and the mood light throughout this curated experience. The 2 vineyards, wines, boat ride, food in both vineyards, was impeccable. Loved the opening of the vintage port bottle using traditional technique of heated tongs and cold water. Highly recommend!
Reviews: Douro Valley: Private Tour & Guided Wine & Olive Oil Tasting
Guest User2025-08-25
We had a special experience at Quinta de Santa Júlia, nestled in the extraordinary landscape of the Douro Valley, home to some of Portugal's finest wines. During the visit, we tasted two Douro wines and two Port wines, each with its own distinct identity, capable of revealing the history of the region in a single sip. We also sampled an excellent local extra virgin olive oil, intense and rooted in the region's agricultural traditions. Our guide, Mariana, passionately shared the history of the estate and the family, even recalling how their wines reached the royal family of England. She explained the Douro castes, winemaking methods, and how to approach wine with greater awareness. The tour took us through vineyards, gardens, and even into the Quinta's traditional kitchen, making the visit complete and immersive. A journey through flavors, history, and traditions that we recommend without hesitation.

Rafaela was an excellent tour guide! She shared a lot of her knowledge with us and was able to respond to any question. She also personalized the experience and was very fun to talk to, she fit with our group very well. We had a lovely time and the wine and olive oil is very tasty as well.
