Reviews: From Salvador: Schooner Tour to Frades Islands and Itaparica
Guest User2025-12-12
The tour itself is well organized. It's just that the places aren't anything special. The boat has a show, but there's a cover charge (optional). Ilha dos Frades is pretty, but nothing out of the ordinary. Ilha de Itaparica has absolutely nothing except a restaurant. There's nothing to do and the food is quite expensive. I don't recommend going to Itaparica.
Reviews: Afro-Brazilian Roots city Tour in Salvador with lunch at Favela

This was the highlight of my tours in Salvador! Wagner the guide has a deep social and anthropological knowledge of both Salvador and the places of this tour and the conversation was super interesting. This tour lets you see unforgettable places and more importantly gives you experiences of authenticity that complement and go beyond the other tours!
Reviews: Schooner Trip Only Ilha dos Frades, Leaving Salvador-Bahia.
Guest User2023-11-03
The island is beautiful and worth a visit. Only 50 people lived on the island, and it was still a holiday when I went, but the restaurants and shops were basically open. The network on the island is not very good. It takes about two and a half hours to take a boat, so it's good to sleep. There are two opportunities to enter the water, the natural pool and the beach on the island, which is quite safe.
Reviews: Salvador: Capoeira Class at Mestre Bimba's 1st Ever School.

It was very interesting to take the Capoeira class; the instructors were great even though they didn't speak English. Yasmine did a great job introducing the history of the school and Capoeira in general, in English. We certainly worked up a good sweat!
