The tour was an incredible experience! Loris was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, sharing information about the intricate process of making Prosciutto di Parma and fun facts along the way. One of the highlights was when Claudius offered the opportunity to use a horse bone stick to perform a final check on the ham—a practice done before it receives the prestigious seal of the Parma crown logo. Every detail of the process was thoroughly explained, which deepened my appreciation for this artisanal craft and Claudius’s passion for it. To top it all off, we enjoyed tasting the very best Prosciutto di Parma, perfectly paired with delightful wine and exceptional vinegar. It was truly exceptional, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in this iconic Italian delicacy!

we were shown around by one of the factory employees, she was excellent and informative. i could not fault her. what was a bit strange was that our booked guide did not show up, as we arrived we waited and then the very nice employee with good english came out and said i will show you around today as camilla cannot make it. we had no prior notification. it’s a small factory and allows you to get a full understanding and hands on.

Although I was alone, the tour went ahead, which I thought was great. The guide, a young woman (I unfortunately forgot her name), was very nice and told me a lot about Parma and the region. She answered my questions very well and was very knowledgeable. I really enjoyed it! I found the snacks at the food spots delicious, especially in front of the cheese shop. Thank you!


