Prepare for a long day! I was picked up at my hotel and then went to several other hotels to pick people up in Cancún. Then we were dropped off in front of this gas station. There are several tours this company handles.
I wasn't told to get on the first bus until the second bus and other travelers arrived. Then I got on my van in Playa Del Carmen. My guide was Artie. He was very knowledgeable, spoke several different languages and was a lot of fun. The van was very tight space-wise and the driver had me nervous several times as he sped down these tight roads with potholes. Be prepared for the 3-4 hour journey on the way there. The sites were beautiful. We did a lot in 6 hours and then had to drive 3 hours back to Playa Del Carmen. Definitely pack snacks for the trip and sunscreen because the sun is strong. Highly recommend if you have a day to enjoy something different in México. About
