Our route will take us through the longest tunnel in South America, offering a unique experience as we make our way to one of the most picturesque regions in Antioquia. We'll witness a mesmerizing transformation in the landscape. The bustling cityscape will gradually give way to charming farms nestled amidst the grandeur of the Andes mountains, this transition is truly breathtaking, immersing us in a world that feels entirely different. Our first stop will be Alto del Chocho, a typical restaurant conveniently located along the road. The original town was completely submerged but the community refused to be defeated and decided to rebuild on higher ground, giving birth to the new town of El Peñol. Known as the "Phoenix of America," this town is a testament to the human spirit and the power of community.
