The driver and guide Joe is a really wonderful person. We were a group of 5 people and he helped us a lot. One of us is a person in a wheelchair, so he helped even with it coz he had to move in such a wheelchair for half a year.

Great one day tour experience! The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Shanghai Film Park was very unique, Zhujiajiao Ancient Town was beautiful and peaceful, with charming canals.
Reviews: Shanghai Departure Suzhou 1-day Tour: Humble Administrator's Garden, Hanshan Temple, Zhouzhuang (Optional Private/Join-in Tour)

Overall, well planned and good experience. Tour guide was very helpful and informative. Van was new, large, and clean. We did a private tour and communication was good via WeChat. We were picked up at 8:30am and returned back to the hotel at 7:45pm. It was a long day visiting both Suzhou and Zhouzhuang, but I don’t think it would be worth visiting on two separate days. The reason for only 4 stars was that we were charged an additional 3 hours at 150 RMB/hr. After the booking was confirmed, the tour operator said the tour is only for 8 hours of time even though the description on Trip.com said the tour would be 9am-8pm. Seemed like a bit of a bait and switch. They should just put that on the description if there are additional hourly charges.

Reviews: Private Day Tour to Suzhou and ZhouZhuang Water Village from Shanghai

I chose to visit the Humble Administrator's Garden, but we were instead taken to the Master of the Nets Garden, which wasn't on the itinerary. The Master of the Nets Garden was indeed beautiful and worth visiting, but the change was a bit odd. I really wouldn't recommend the silk museum; it was purely for selling products. The time allotted for visiting Panmen Gate was too short, probably due to weekend traffic. The restaurant for lunch was rather ordinary, but the food was decent. The scenery in Zhouzhuang wasn't great; it wasn't a problem with the itinerary, but rather the location itself. The best part was our guide, Mr. Wu; he was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all my questions.
