Reviews: PRIVATE Mindo Cloud Forest tour

Our guide for the day was Christian. He was AWESOME! He provided us with so much information about their history, volcanoes, cultures, etc. The zip lining was way more than expected. There were 10 lines and they were so accommodating when I was slow climbing to the next one. The chocolate tour is a must as well. You get to experience so many things from preparing to tasting and even a chocolate mask! And of course the butterfly and hummingbird farms put such a smile on my face. Getting to have them land on you and see them up close was unbelievable. Everyone should try and do this tour and hope you get Christian as your guide!
Reviews: Discover Quito; Old town, Middle of the world + Cable car PRIVATE

There were many memorable things we saw and experienced. Our tour guide, Daniel, is excellent. He modified our itinerary based on what we wanted to see, adding in stops in old town for a visit to a large produce and flower market, and allowed us to spend time with a basket and lamp vendor, we ended up buying some great lamps to bring home. Most memorable of the day probably was the trip to the middle of the Earth, we were blown away by what we saw and learned. The culture and people were also memorable.
Reviews: Cable Car and Quito Private City Tour

We loved our guide Diana and our driver Marcelo was excellent. For our first full day in Quito, we booked this Ecuador’s Best Tour of the city. We live at sea level in Seattle and wanted to take it easy due to Quito’s high elevation. We were also concerned about safety in an unfamiliar city after a couple of days of exhausting travel. So we appreciated the guide and driver very much. We enjoyed every stop on our tour. Diana walked with us every step of the way, patiently answered all of our questions and helped us understand the culture of Ecuador. Later, after we got back from the Galapagos, we learned that some of the group members had gone exploring on their own and were robbed of expensive items in Old Quito, so I was especially appreciative of the excellent guidance of Diana and Marcelo. I never felt unsafe, and Quito has a better police presence than Seattle, including touristic police, but as a stranger in a new city, we can be at a disadvantage on our own, even though we use money belts and phone lanyards when traveling.
Reviews: Full-Day Mindo Cloud Forest Tour Birdwatching Waterfalls and Hike

This experience was marvelous from beginning to end! Pato was born and raised in Quito and is a wealth of knowledge. He was also SUPER accommodating to our group. We had a group member who was really interested in fungus, one who was not fond of cable cars, another who broke their ankle early this year, and some and some members who were really interested in birding. Pato worked our day around these things. Makes sure to let him know what you’re interested in! We stopped at a mushroom museum, butterfly experience, two spots for birding, a lovely lunch spot that was great for birding, and did a chocolate tasting! He answered all our questions about the region and more! One of our group members really wanted to see a tucán and he di everything in his power to try to make it happen. There is no doubt you’ll have a great time in this trip!
Reviews: Mindo Cloud Forest Day Tours PRIVATE by Richard Hernandez

My husband and I had two full days with Richard for a private tour, with him customizing the trip to match our interests. Richard grew up in the area and has a lot of personal connections and knowledge which greatly enhanced our experience. With his background and studies and personal experience, he was able to answer our many questions, whether that was identifying the 87 bird species we spotted, or discussing local and geopolitical history, describing the various biomes of Ecuador, and telling about the rich Ecuadorian culture. We learned a lot! Beyond the tour, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Richard because he is a good human. We came away with a friend who cared about us and our experience in his beautiful homeland. Señor Bird Monk, thank you for your patience with our endless questions, your many kindnesses, your willingness to share so much about Ecuador. We will never forget you.
