We tasted the wine between two rows of vines, sheltered from the sun. The attendant explained the winemaking process and the different types of Chianti wine. She spoke good French. I recommend it.

The tour was fun and our guide Mathilde (i hope i wrote it correctly) explained a bit of history and let us alone to explore. The Vespa route was nice through the scenery part of Chianti. We ended up with a very good tasting session (and wineyard tour) at Lornano. I highly recommend it!!

We were welcomed warmly and made to feel right at home. The tour of the vineyards and cellars was fascinating and interesting, followed by a tasting under the beautiful pergola, surrounded by a breathtaking Tuscan landscape. The wine is exquisite, of course, as are the olive oil and vin santo (all homemade), expertly paired with platters of cured meats and cheeses produced by local farms, and with produce from their garden, all strictly organic. It was definitely worth it; I recommend it to everyone.


