Attractions and Activities: Presidente Hayes Department (Free entry) A half or full day tour to enjoy an incredible number of birds, in one of the hotspots declared as «Important Bird Areas» of the country. La Rafaela farm and Estancia La Playada are the main spots during this tour, with target birds that includes endangered species such as Strange-tailed Tyrant and Sharp-tailed Tyrant. Some of the interesting birds that are usual seen during the tour are: Greater Rhea, Chaco Chachalaca, Plumbeous and Buff-necked Ibis, Great Horned Owl, Blue-crowned Trogon, Toco Toucan, 10 species of woodpeckers, including Golden-green, Crimson-crested and Cream-backed Woodpecker. It is also present and most usually heard, Red-legged Seriema and Laughing Falcon. Parrots and parakeets are also common, Nanday, Maroon-bellied and Blue-crowned Parakeet usually seen in flocks.
