First, be aware that tour companies don't contact you until the last minute. As a result, I had to cancel the tour I booked through Viator at the last minute and rebook through Trip.com. Regarding the items requiring payment on-site, the information listed on the website differed from what the tour company told me when I got there. Thanks to persistent negotiation and evidence, I was able to get the payment waived, but it's important to save the link and take screenshots. Other participants also had various issues, but the places we visited were amazing. It's important to consider these issues as a valuable part of traveling to Egypt and allow yourself time to enjoy the experience. If you can't afford it, I recommend a tour with a tour guide rather than a local tour. This tour involved meeting the guide at each ruin.★

We had a wonderful day. Looked after so well by Merrit our guide. The driver was also very courteous. One down side was the meal at the hotel. The staff treated us very poorly. They seemed to think we shouldn't have been there and they had no record of any agreement to provide a meal. We were given food begrudgingly, with no choice at all. We would have preferred to have good to the Iberotel where we were staying and had an all inclusive package. ★
