Reviews: Morakot Angkor Restaurant in Siem Reap, Cambodia [Buffet Restaurant + Dinner + Traditional Khmer Performance + Stage-side Seating]

Overall, I liked it, except for the subsequent upset stomach (I hadn't eaten anything since the morning before visiting this restaurant, only drank water, and then a few hours later it started...). The performance is interesting and conveys the culture of the country. Seats can be taken before the show begins. The food selection (vegan and regular tables) is good – many different hot dishes – seafood, chicken, vegetables, salads, appetizers, desserts, drinks (for an additional reasonable fee, including alcohol), and national cuisine was also represented. No one will leave hungry! At the entrance, staff greets you and takes you to your reserved seats; signs with the names of those who have reserved seats are placed on the tables in advance. From my seat (slightly to the side closer to the entrance and close to the stage), I had a good view of the performers, which made for good videos and photos. At the end of the performance, you can take a free photo with any of the artists. The atmosphere is pleasant, cheerful, and friendly! The restaurant is new, beautiful, and clean inside.

This tour was one of the highlights of my trip! I loved that the company supports local families through education and income, making the experience meaningful as well as fun. Our guides, Meng and Sna, were friendly, patient, and gave clear instructions, so I felt safe and confident. The small group and safety bike added a personal touch. We passed villages with wooden houses and boat houses, before reaching rice paddies overlooking the mountain with Angkor temple in the distance. Even flooded during rainy season, the scenery was beautiful. A unique mix of adventure, culture, and scenery. Must try!
