The day was very organized. The shuttle van arrived on time. It was warm and comfortable. Our driver was focused. We made some stops to use the restroom and get food. When we got to base camp, we were provided with gear to have a safe and warm hike. Our guide (Chase?) was very knowledgeable and made sure we had plenty of time to take pictures. The ride back was relaxing. We ate and most of us took a nap! If you don’t want to drive icy roads and enjoy the two hour drive from Anchorage, splurge on this trip.

It was great experience, Lori has gone above and beyond making sure all of us enjoy the trip. Shout out to the lady who was guided us (forgot her name) during the walk in the glacier, she was very helpful and patience when I dropped my phone at the starting point and she had to go back to fetch that for me, also in the middle of our walk there was couple in our group whose husband had dehydration, and she made all the medication precautionary measure, but thankfully all went well. It was beautiful weather at that we went to the glacier, so back home with hundred of photos. And to/from Matanuska, it was one of beautiful scenic drives I’ve been to.

Excellent activity! I booked this as the main matanuska tour was sold out, but thoroughly enjoyed this. The tour guide Sam was amazing, he made sure everyone in the group was comfortable and paid close attention to helping. He also found new areas to show us interesting features. And helped us take great pictures.

This trip was a blast! The Glacier was incredible and the group and I fortunately saw it on a bright and sunny day. The weather was warmer than I thought it would be and a base layer with hiking pants was enough to keep warm… even hot at some points. I recommend this trip to anyone visiting and wanting to experience incredible views alongside great tour guide commentary!

The guide was very informative and friendly. Made sure all the folks in the group enjoyed the hike. The rappelling with the hike is added fun.
