My guide was Otilia. Time planning was great, we had sufficient time at all destinations and attractions on the journey. Otilia was a knowledgeable and passionate guide who really shared a lot of stories about Romanian history which I found very interesting myself. However, we were unable to enter Peles Castle unless we paid extra, close to 30 euros, which is too much.

It’s true that there are a few different options for communism-related walking tours in Bucharest. My friend and I chose this one in particular on the first day of our trip to Bucharest due to its 12pm start time and us wanting to sleep in after our late flights. Things could not have worked out more wonderfully! This was the first thing we did during our stay in Bucharest and Andrea’s commentary was not only extremely informative, but the tour gave us ideas on how best to spend our other days in the city. We absolutely loved learning about the “City of Contrasts” and getting our trip started on the right foot. Thank you, Andrea!

The tour was great, a brilliant blend of the history of Romania and tour of Bucharest along with experiencing the food market and sampling various foods and drink. Angelica was an excellent guide explaining everything well and answering all of our random questions.
