Reviews: Kuo-Kuang Bus 1819-Taipei to Taoyuan Airport Round Trip Ticket
Guest User2026-03-27
Even though I arrived at night, I took Kuo-Kuang Bus No. 1819 to get downtown. The buses run at intervals, but there are staff members present even in the early morning, which is a great help for your trip. Also, this was my first visit to Taipei in two years, and the bus stop near Taipei Main Station has changed in that time! Please keep this in mind.
Reviews: [International travelers only] frequency rides | Taiwan High Speed Rail Pass | Flexible 2-day pass, 3-day pass | Must-buy for Taiwan self-guided tour(booking required one day in advance)

It’s super foreigner-friendly — the 3-day pass lets you hop around on the HSR pretty much as much as you want. Just a heads-up: plan your route properly, because time flies and it’s easy to miss the true “must-go” spots if you wing it. I used mine for a Tainan run and it was totally worth it — visited 林百貨 (Hayashi Department Store) and a bunch of other places around the city. Tainan has that chill, old-soul vibe: great food, slower pace, and so many photogenic streets to wander.
Reviews: Taiwan EasyCard for Transportation | With Taoyuan Metro Card | Exclusively for Non-Taiwan Residents | Essential for Self-Guided Tours in Taiwan | Can Be Used on MRT and Buses (Collect at Taoyuan International Airport)

Easy to pick up at TPE terminal 1. The instructions told us to pick up at a kiosk near TPE mrt station B1 level. I didn't see the kiosk but notice a huge manned counter at the entrance of B1 TPE mrt station. I tried asking and could redeem the package (easycard+mrt tokens) with them so all's good.
Reviews: Taipei FunPASS | Unlimited 1-Day 2-Day 3-Day Pass (Give away "Taiwan Dragon and Tiger Nightmarket glass" set)

Very easy to use. This is recommended for travelers who’d do DIY trips. This Funpass is the best way to tour around Taipei
Reviews: Essential for Traveling in Taiwan | For non-Taiwanese nationals only | Taoyuan Airport MRT Round Trip Ticket&Taipei Metro 48/72 Hrs Pass

The round-trip card from Taoyuan International Airport to downtown Taipei and the card for unlimited use of the city's subway are separate. It's a great deal. I lost my city subway card on the way there, but the card for the return trip to the airport was separate, which was very helpful. The pick-up point at the airport is near the subway ticket gate on the B2 floor. I searched for it quite a while, thinking it must be somewhere inside the airport.
