Day 1
Meet at meeting point: McDonald's Temma Station 4 Chome-12-1 Tenjinbashi, Kita Ward, Osaka, 530-0041, Japan Just outside the faregates of JR Tenma Station is a McDonalds. There's only one exit from the station, so it's not confusing. Just exit and veer right.Attractions and Activities: Tenma (Free entry) Explore this centuries-old neighborhood filled with shops and restaurants. Places and people both old and young, and an assortment of just generally interesting sights abound. We spend about 45 minutes walking around and talking about some of the more noteworthy ones. With our 45-minute cultural endeavor behind us, it's time for a drink and some food. Depending on the night, the restaurants we go to vary, but you can be sure there will be a variety of dishes to choose from. We'll also explain the sights and sounds of the typical “tachinomi”, or standing bar-restaurant. We spend about 30 minutes here. Part two of our Tenma walkabout takes us deeper into the restaurants and food markets area. This offers a great chance to see the locals out having a great time, since many of the restaurants are open to the street. This walk is about 15 minutes. We'll make sure the second food stop has different tastes and a different vibe than the first. We'll spend about 30 minutes here 2 hr(s)
Attractions and Activities: Kyobashi Station (Free entry) After a brief train ride (your fare is included), we arrive at Kyobashi. We think a good Osaka night tour involves more than just one neighborhood! Kyobashi was once the primary gateway when coming from Kyoto, and it still is today, albeit to a less hectic degree. An entertainment district with a different breed of restaurants, our short walk around this area will show you things not found in Tenma, let alone somewhere like Dotonbori. Within about 30 minutes from when we departed restaurant #2 in Tenma, we'll be heading to our final foodie stop. We hope you've still got space, because we've got a third restaurant in store for you. Again, different food, different vibe. We'll spend about 30 minutes here. 1 hr(s)
Guests leave on their own: End the tour on your own and bring your trip to a happy conclusion We end at Kyobashi Station, which has both JR and the subway, as well as the Keihan line, which provides easy access to Kyoto.
