As a brilliant Karst cave marked on almost all travel itineraries, Reed Flute Cave got its name from the verdant reeds growing outside it, with which people make flutes. Actually, inside this water-eroded cave is a spectacular world of various stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations created by carbonate deposition. Illuminated by colored lighting, the fantastic spectacle is found in many variations. Walking through the serried stone pillars, tourists feast their eyes on changing spots, feeling they are in a paradise where the Gods live.

Lying approximately 22 kms from Longsheng County, the Longji Rice Terraces, first built in the Yuan Dynasty (1271 – 1368) and completed in the Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1912), is situated on the Longji Mountain at the Ping'an Village. Including the Ping'an Rice Terraces and the Jinkeng Dazhai Rice Terraces, the Ping'an Rice Terraces have an altitude between 300m and 1100m above the sea level.
The road to the Rice Terraces is just like a ribbon winds around the mountain. The Longji Rice Terraces are built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountain top, the highest part being 880 m in elevation while the lowest part is 380 m. The coiling line that starts from the mountain foot up to the mountain top divides the mountain into layers of water glittering in the sun in spring, layers of green rice shoots in summer, layers of golden rice in fall, and layers of silvery frost in winter.

China's Yao minority classification has almost 3 million members and live among other ethnic groups in the mountains of southern China.
The Red Yao women of Longji are noted for their long hair. They are the most famous of about 20 "Yao" people groups. The Yao of Bama are noted for their unusual longevity and healthy diets.
