We had a great time and enjoyed both the Nagoya Castle and Hommaru Palace, as well as the Toyota museum visit, immensely. Very impressive and very interesting ! We booked a group tour through Ctrip, which was very convenient. The meeting point was right outside one of the Nagoya Station exits. The guide took attendance and assigned seats. He gave a brief overview of the attractions and distributed a map. I'd heard colleagues talk about Shirakawa-go Gassho Village as being beautiful, especially in winter after the snow. Although we visited on October 7th, the scenery was still stunning. I hadn't expected such a beautiful village to exist deep in the mountains. It wasn't crowded, and we all had a wonderful time strolling through the beautiful village.★

This tour allows direct access to the observation deck of the Gassho-zukuri village, eliminating the need for walking. It arrives at the observation deck around 10 AM, avoiding peak tourist hours, and then arrives at the village parking lot at 11:20 AM for a 1.5-hour stop before departing. The downside is that the tour arrives at Takayama Old Town at 2 PM, by which time the morning market and most shops are closed, limiting choices. However, there are rest stops on both the way there and back, so there's no need to worry about needing to urinate. Our guide, Mr. Liu, was very attentive and responsible, managing everything for the tourists and recommending souvenirs and food. The time allotted was also very reasonable and sufficient.★

there were only less than 15 of us so we used mini bus which was a bit tight for someone who is 175cm or higher. tour guide was funny and always available to assist. departed right on time, no stress to find the meeting point. wish we were given a little more time in takeyama as the surroundings were extremely beautiful. very good price for what we got. and of course the star of the show was shirakawago which was mind blowing. highly recommended especially if you are visiting in winter
