Reviews: South Coast Day Tour from Reykjavik [Chinese/English Guided + Round-Trip + Optional Katla Ice Cave]

If you are only in Iceland for one day, promise me to choose to come to the south bank. Iceland's most important attractions are here. Remember to bring your own headset for easy listening to the voice. The journey takes about 10 hours, and you will feel that everything is worth it when you see the black beach with the naked eye.

The tour guide plans the itinerary according to the weather. When it looked like it would rain, he told us to go to other attractions first, and the waterfall would be last, so we only got a little rain (the original itinerary would have left us soaked until the end). Along the way, the guide told us stories about Iceland, introduced the attractions, and reminded us of important things to note – he was incredibly kind! It was a wonderful experience! (I chose the English version!)

Our guide was Ian, there were only six of us in our group, and let me just say: it was absolutely fantastic! Definitely recommended! The pickup was completely hassle-free and perfectly on time. Ian knew absolutely everything about the route. You could ask him anything, and he always had an answer ready. He also tailored the tour perfectly to our needs. If we wanted to stay longer or shorter at a particular spot, we could do that. Brilliant! The tour stops were amazing too! My personal highlight was Diamond Beach, a must-see! On the way back, he shared ghost stories, myths about trolls and elves, and so much more. So great!

Jonas was a wonderful and very knowledgeable guide. This is a long day but we found it well worth it - a day I’ll never forget. The glacier lagoon was spectacular & so was diamond beach. There were plenty of stops along the journey for bathroom, food and water breaks.
