Reviews: [Exclusive for International Travelers] Taiwan High Speed Rail One-Way Ticket (15% Discount)
Guest User2026-02-05
The discount is great since the official high speed train website doesn't have special prices. But you have to carefully follow the instructions from the confirmation: 1- don't book your ticket from the regular website as you can't use the redemption code there, -2 make sure you book ahead, the voucher takes 24h to activate. If you are not able to plan ahead, it us better to look for last minutes discounted trains on the high speed train website.
Reviews: Kuo-Kuang Bus 1819-Taipei to Taoyuan Airport Round Trip Ticket

When going from the airport to the city in the early morning, the waiting time is more than 30 minutes, so it is a bit difficult, but there are no other problems. The price is reasonable, so traffic is a hindrance when traveling during the day, and there is a waiting time at night.
Reviews: [International travelers only] frequency rides | Taiwan High Speed Rail Pass | Flexible 2-day pass, 3-day pass | Must-buy for Taiwan self-guided tour(booking required one day in advance)
Guest User2025-11-28
It’s super foreigner-friendly — the 3-day pass lets you hop around on the HSR pretty much as much as you want. Just a heads-up: plan your route properly, because time flies and it’s easy to miss the true “must-go” spots if you wing it. I used mine for a Tainan run and it was totally worth it — visited 林百貨 (Hayashi Department Store) and a bunch of other places around the city. Tainan has that chill, old-soul vibe: great food, slower pace, and so many photogenic streets to wander.
Reviews: Taiwan EasyCard for Transportation | With Taoyuan Metro Card | Exclusively for Non-Taiwan Residents | Essential for Self-Guided Tours in Taiwan | Can Be Used on MRT and Buses (Collect at Taoyuan International Airport)
Guest User2026-01-20
I bought the Easy Card because it was the cheapest on Trip.com and used it. It was much more convenient and time-saving. I recharged it with Taiwan 400 and used it up in various ways. The subway fare is almost the same as in Korea, so it runs out quickly. 400 is too much. I also strongly recommend buying tokens!
Reviews: EasyCard + Chunghwa Telecom Unlimited Internet SIM card(Pick up at Taoyuan International Airport or Taipei Main Station) | Must-buy for Taiwan self-guided tour| Non-Taiwan residents only

The young lady provided excellent service and was very helpful in resolving my issues. However, I suggest that Ctrip provide a map; I searched for a long time and asked several people before finally finding the location.

I used it in Kaohsiung. I was able to exchange my Yu Yu card at the counter right after exiting the Kaohsiung Airport arrival hall. This card is essential for traveling around the city by MRT. I couldn't purchase tickets at the new ticket vending machines at the station, so I had no choice but to charge my Yu Yu card. This card is an absolute must for comfortable travel in Kaohsiung. I was able to use this card on both the LRT and the Taiwan Railway without any problems.
