Attractions and Activities: Luís I Bridge (Free entry How to visit:No indoor visits) The most iconic bridge in Greater Porto. Arched bridge with road on the lower level and metro line on the upper level between Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. This construction replaced the old suspension bridge that existed on the same site and was carried out through a project by the Belgian engineer Théophile Seyrig, who had previously collaborated with Gustave Eiffel in the construction of the D. Maria Pia railway bridge.
