Mary reached out the day before via WhatsApp and answered my logistic questions. Overall I’m very happy I joined her tour. She is patient, upbeat, and explained well without being overwhelming. Perhaps I’m out of shape, but this ~5 hours walking tour was intense during the last hour or so. Be sure to wear comfiest shoes and bundled up! Also I’m glad Mary’s notes did mention bringing drinks and snacks with you. The snack shops inside the Forbidden City were too long to wait.★

Our tour guide, Li Xue, was very professional and polite. Her explanations were engaging and clear, and she could describe the architecture of the Forbidden City, down to every brick and tile, in great detail, sharing many interesting stories. She also interacted with the group members during her explanations. Our family was very satisfied. I highly recommend hiring a guided tour when visiting the Forbidden City.★

The whole is well planned and timely except for a few who arrived late. Our tour guide Yuan Bo is knowledgeable and friendly. As I’m traveling with my elderly mum, he ensured there is sufficient rest for everyone. Each places we went, he explained everything into details.★

Guide Liu's explanations were vivid, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He not only eloquently recounted the historical context and interesting anecdotes of each attraction, but his vivid storytelling style made us feel as if we were actually there, truly experiencing the warmth of history. Our trip to Mutianyu Great Wall and Forbidden City has become even more wonderful thanks to our driver, Master Li. He is very punctual and helpful, but most notably, he is very willing to provide additional assistance. He shared interesting stories and facts about the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, which greatly enhanced our experience. Because I am traveling with my mother, I am very worried about transportation issues, but driver Wang is very patient and takes good care of her needs.
