I rarely write reviews but this tour was so heart-warming that I would like to share it with all. We were staying in copacabana and very worried how safe it will be to go to favella. To our surprise, our guide was the sweetest person who made us feel safe at every moment. It was even safe to have our mobile phones with us and take pictures. The guide is well-respected in favella and they are like community where everyone knows each other. You will see colorful, real Brazil and leave with good memories. Our guide was actually born and raised in this Favella and we even visited his house. I highly recommend the tour regardless if you are female solo traveller, couple, or family - The best tour we had of all!

This was a deep immersion into Santa Marta. This is probably one of the best favela tours you can do. Everyone was great, and friendly. It’s like a class/field trip to Santa Marta. Was super happy with both guides. The views are really nice up there too. Everything was perfect.

We really enjoyed the tour. We saw all of the places mentioned in the tour description. It was a little fast paced, but if you want to see the major sights of Rio in one day, this is a good tour for it. Monica was an excellent tour guide who explained in multiple languages - English, Spanish, and Italian.

Mario, our guide, was simply fantastic. He provided insights into the reasons behind the situation. The tour was more like meeting a resident of the Santa Marta favela who gave us a glimpse into their daily life. Very human and very authentic... highly recommended.

The tour guide was super nice, and the lunch was delicious, a barbecue buffet. The itinerary was very reasonable. My group was basically a private tour, with only four of us! Of course, the weather was very bad, which was a good thing because it was low season. I couldn't see anything about the Christ the Redeemer statue, and the Theron Steps were also very boring. The church itself was only worth visiting, and the Christ the Redeemer statue was worthwhile.


