We met our guide next to a bakery right by the Gold Museum. It was nice he gave us a tour where the Emerald history and outdoor sales occur before we started our jewelry making.
The guys helping us make a ring were fantastic! There were about 6 of us in a room with 2 experts plus our guide and we each had a lot of help melting down the metal and shaping the ring. Note, you can choose to upgrade/add additional emeralds ranging from $30-$120 USD.
Pro-tip: pick out a design first, our guide showed us pictures from their IG account.
The ring turned out much better than I anticipated! Great unique souvenir that showcases the amazing significance of Colombian's gem. ★

My experience with Marcela and the chef was just amazing! My workshop turned out to be totally private, which was a great value for my money. The vibe of the workshop was so friendly and fun. Marcela was such a fun and kind companion in the workshop, walking with me through the experience of making chocolates. I definitely recommend this.★

This was an AMAZING day! Highly recommended, and a highlight of our stay in Bogota. Really, every aspect of the day was excellent. Our guide, Lorenzo, was friendly and outgoing, and shared a ton of information about Colombia. At the coffee farm, we were greeted by the owner, and introduced to our guide for the coffee experience - also a warm and friendly person, who showed us every aspect of coffee production. Breakfast and lunch were generous and delicious - everything was farm-fresh and organic and beautifully served on a patio with a view overlooking the mountains. We met the hens who laid our breakfast eggs! They're part of the farm's ecosystem. And, needless to say, the coffee was delicious! I won't lie - I was nervous at the thought of driving on narrow mountain roads (which indeed they were!) but our driver was 100% reliable. He knew where to pause on the road to let us snap amazing shots of the Andes. I had hesitated booking this because it felt pricey - but we more than got our money's worth from this outstanding day trip.About
