<ul><li>São Bento Station was opened in 1916 and is located in the Almeida Garret Square in the city center. It is a railway station in the Portuguese city of Porto. The station is mainly known for its 20,000 tile paintings that show the history of Portugal.</li><li>The station's name comes from the 16th-century Benedictine monastery that once stood on the site, which was abandoned in the late 19th century. The station's foundation stone was laid by King Carlos I in 1900. The station was designed by local architect José Marques da Silva, but was influenced by the French Beaux-Arts school.</li><li><img src="https://ak-d.tripcdn.com/images/100t0r000000gx2qh4FBD_Z_1000_0.jpg?proc=resize/m_z,w_1000;crop/m_c,w_1000,h_1000,x_0,y_0,DD72"></li><li>The Church of the Holy Spirit is located on Santa Catarina Pedestrian Street in the old town of Porto and was built in the early 20th century. The blue and white porcelain walls are the characteristic of the church, which is very stunning. The tile paintings on the walls retain the style of the 18th century, and the wall tiles depict the lives of many saints.</li><li><img src="https://ak-d.tripcdn.com/images/100m0s000000iho5b3FE8_Z_1000_0.jpg?proc=resize/m_z,w_1000;crop/m_c,w_1000,h_1000,x_0,y_0,DD72"></li><li>In the Battle Square, there is the Church of San Ildefonso with its Portuguese-style blue tiled exterior walls and murals.</li><li><img src="https://ak-d.tripcdn.com/images/01012120008htf4m4F54E_Z_1000_0.jpg?proc=resize/m_z,w_1000;crop/m_c,w_1000,h_1000,x_0,y_0,DD72"></li><li>The Baroque library of the University of Coimbra was a gift from King Joao V to himself in the 18th century. The interior is richly decorated and built with rosewood and ebony. It is now the library of the University of Coimbra.
