It was soo lovley, our tour guide Ruby was so sweet and kind! We got to try fruits from the loval market and we were on the kakao farm, we even made our own ricenoodles. Ruby had a lot of knowledge and answered all our questions thoroughly. Thanks so much :)

Guide Kris met the group on time and the tour started promptly. Enjoyed the floating market experience with breakfast noodle and coffee included. Also managed to try new fruits at the landside wet market after. Recommended!

We were lucky enough to go on our excursion with Sophia; she was incredible, very energetic, and full of stories. A truly authentic experience, far from the tourist crowds, in a small group.

The tour was a 10-person English-speaking group booked on Ctrip. The actual group consisted of 9 people: 2 American women, a Korean-American couple, a woman from Shanghai, and our family of four. The woman from Shanghai originally booked a 22-person group but was reassigned to our 10-person group after the group couldn't be formed. Overall, the trip was good, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. Our guide, Doc, was enthusiastic and sincere, but his spoken English needs improvement. The vehicle was a Ford D-Car, and the equipment matched the advertising. Dissatisfaction included extra charges and excessive product recommendations, although not mandatory. The local tour operator, SST, demanded an extra 250,000 VND in holiday cash tips per person, which was unreasonable and exceeded the terms of our Ctrip booking. There were a total of 8 promotional activities throughout the trip, including local art factories, local honey, singer tips, boatman tips, and some food recommendations. The main attractions are the Vietnam War tunnel warfare battlefield tour and the final kilometer-long tropical rainforest boat ride, which is quite fun. There was a paid shooting game in the middle; we bought two sets of 20 bullets. My son and I planned to each shoot a set, but minors are prohibited, so my dad finished the whole thing. The bullet cost a total of 1.35 million VND, which is close to 70,000 VND per bullet – definitely expensive. Other soft-sell tactics were barely acceptable, but I hope they can be reduced; there were a total of 9 such attempts. Hard tips were unacceptable as it was difficult to negotiate on-site, and I was forced to accept them. Overall, I'm 80-85% satisfied. I hope the guides and boatmen won't keep asking for tips in the future, and I also hope that all sales pitches will be eliminated, especially since it's advertised as a "pure tour."
Reviews: Ho Chi Minh City Mekong Delta 1-day tour: Vinh Trang Pagoda + coconut grove boat trip + Chinese/English guide + optional small group

The 1 day tour to the Mekong Delta and vist to the Vinh Trang Pagoda was very enjoyable. Our tour guide Leo was courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. He explained the days itinerary in English and in Chinese to our Chinese companion and was very helpful with any of our questions. The two boat trips through Coconut grove and the visit to the Vinh Trang Pagoda was beautiful, and tranquil. I really enjoyed the full day trip. I would recommend this trip and also the tour company ( V N Lotus Travel in Saigon.
Reviews: Mekong Delta One-day Tour in Ho Chi Minh City, Boats tour to My Tho - Vinh Trang Pagoda - Thoi Son Island [ English-Guide | No Shopping | Hotel Pick-up - Lunch included]

I booked a VIP tour this time, and the itinerary was very packed, with five or six boat trips in total, making it a fairly in-depth tour. The Mekong River didn't look very clear; the water was quite yellow and covered with water hyacinths, but there was no unpleasant odor. The island had many plants (various fruits) and animals (pythons, crocodiles, catfish, etc.), and the guide led the tour, providing very enthusiastic explanations. At the narrow section of the river where boats were manually rowed, the guide mentioned that a tip was expected for the rowers. Before the tour ended, the guide suggested that if we were satisfied with the trip, we could also tip him; I felt I had to give him something, otherwise I'd feel awkward.
