Reviews: Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral Private Tour + Walking Tour
Guest User2025-11-20
We had the opportunity to take a guided tour of the Salt Cathedral, and the experience was simply exceptional. The weather was perfect and complemented every moment of the tour. Our guides, Jorge and Esther, were a true privilege: warm, fun, attentive, and with a deep knowledge of Bogotá and its history. The way they shared every detail made the tour feel personal and incredibly enriching. The Salt Cathedral is an impressive, majestic, and unique structure. Walking through its tunnels and illuminated spaces is almost a sensory journey that surpasses all expectations. In conclusion, it was an unparalleled experience that we highly recommend.

Good package with just the transfer and tickets to the salt mine. The driver gave good info as we drove (only in Spanish) and arranged entry to the mine - with audio cruises in English. You then tour the mine yourself (or with a guide in Spanish). He then offered for us to have lunch in town (at own cost) or to look around town - which we did.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirá. It's a truly breathtaking place: its majesty and the vastness of its spaces leave you speechless. Our guide, Esteban, was always attentive to everything and made the experience even more special with his explanations. The restaurant we chose for lunch was very pleasant, with a cozy atmosphere and perfect for relaxing before continuing our tour. A tip: if you plan to buy souvenirs inside the Cathedral, do it with plenty of time, because there are many activities and corners worth exploring at your leisure. A 100% recommended visit and an experience that will stay with you forever.
Reviews: Daily tour from 1 pax: Guatavita and Salt Cathedral Tour

We were in a Spanish and English speaking tour and we were the only two travellers that spoke English. Emilio had translated everything to us in English. The pace of the tour was good and didn't feel rushed.

Diego is a wonderful guide. He explained the history of Lake Guatavita and the Salt Cathedral and he also answered our questions about Bogota and Colombia. Helpful and friendly. My mother and I enjoyed our tour!
