Meet at meeting point: The front desk is located within the parking lot, where you can purchase entrance fee tickets and meet your guide for a minibus ride to the trail entrance. This process may add 20 to 30 minutes to your schedule. If you arrive by car, please park in the reserve's official parking lot.Attractions and Activities: Monteverde Hummingbird Gallery (At your own expense) Located near the entrance of the famous Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve, the Colibrí Gallery is a unique wildlife photography gallery and craft store surrounded by the lush cloud forest of Monteverde, Costa Rica. The area is well known for attracting several species of hummingbirds and other wildlife, making it a great place for nature observation and photography. The gallery features impressive wildlife photography by renowned British photographers Michael and Patricia Fogden, whose work has appeared in National Geographic and other international publications. Their images capture the remarkable biodiversity of Costa Rica, including birds, mammals, reptiles, and insects of the cloud forest. Attractions and Activities: Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Preserve (At your own expense) Explore the world-famous Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve, one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in Costa Rica, located along the Sierra de Tilarán between Puntarenas and Alajuela. During this guided nature walk, you will explore lush cloud forest trails surrounded by towering trees covered in moss, orchids, bromeliads, and other unique epiphytes typical of this misty ecosystem. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local naturalist guide, guests will search for wildlife hidden in the forest canopy and understory. The reserve is home to a remarkable diversity of species, including hummingbirds, toucans, the iconic Resplendent Quetzal, frogs, butterflies, insects, and native plants.
