Reviews: Son Tra Peninsula, Marble Mountain and Hoi An Ancient Town Group tour: Depart from Da Nang
Guest User2026-02-07
This half-day tour was booked on short notice; I booked it as soon as I landed in Da Nang that morning, and we departed promptly at 1:30 PM. Although it was only half a day, we visited quite a few places. First, we went to Son Tra Peninsula, where the sea view from the mountain was quite nice; taking a taxi would have cost a lot. Then we went to Marble Mountains, which are mainly caves and not very high. The English-speaking guide had a heavy Southeast Asian accent, but it was still understandable, and he was very enthusiastic, leading us through the entire tour. Next, we went to Hoi An. It felt quite late when we arrived, so after dinner, we only had a little over an hour left to explore, just enough for taking photos. However, the fellow travelers we met along the way were all very interesting; we helped each other, chatted, and took photos, making it a fun and memorable trip.
Reviews: Marble Mountain - Hoi An Ancient Town by Night Guided Tour | Departing from Da Nang City

It was an interesting trip - I was really amused by the beauty of Marble Mountains and Hoi An during the night time with the magical atmosphere of the lights. It was active as well which I like. However, I felt like it was a bit too rushed. It would be valuable to have time to really enjoy both places. Also, I would also appreciate it if the tour guide could share more information about both places. But overall I had really good time.

Reviews: PRIVATE JEEP TOUR: From Hoi An, Danang To Hue via Haivan Pass

First a driver picked us from our hotel in Hoi An. He dropped us off at Marble Mountains where we could walk around for one hour. This was really a rush and not a very nice experience. But than he brought us to the hai van Pass where the Jeeps were ready to go. This was so nice. Mr Kong and Mr Lou were so nice and kind drivers. They showed us a lot. Their English was good. Also the lunch was at a great spot en good food. It took a whole day. And they took their time for us. We also stoped to swim at the waterfall what was nice to cool down. It was one of the best expericence of our whole trip in Vietnam!

There is no tour specifically to Hoi An so we took this because it is the shortest (6 hours instead of one full day). Loc is a good guide giving us enough info. Take the elevator to the top of Marble Mountain helps with our feet😃 a bit of a queue but not too long a wait. The sea and hill view is quite nice although the sea view is marred by a huge apt/hotel. Hoi An is worth visiting. It was termed with visitors but we could still walk along the river quite comfortably. The scenery is really magical. Only flaw: rock band playing live music (I think). It spoiled the magical ambiance. I would rather have beautiful traditional or modern Vietnam music being showcased and not western music. Plenty of food and things to shop here. Must visit!

Great tour of the My Son ruins. The lunch was very good and our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The boat ride was also nice. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone planning to visit the ruins.
