Reviews: San José: Arenal Volcano, Waterfalls, Coffee and Hot Springs

Honestly, Ovy is an excellent guide. He explained everything we needed to know along the way, did everything he could to help us find the animals, and was incredibly kind. 10/10. I traveled alone, and Ovy made the trip very enjoyable. 👏

Recommendations for activity: - Good shoes (lots of walking) - Small backpack I went to Costa Rica with my father and decided to do this activity. This activity is an all day affair, and covers a multitude of things. We learned about coffee at the Doka Estates— drank lots of coffee in the process. We then went to the Volcano. Keep in mind you might have to hang around for an hour to see the crater (we went during the rainy season). It was hard to get a visible view of the crater. We were able to get a good view for 30 seconds and that’s it. Later we checked out the waterfalls, which I must say was gorgeous! The lunch was included— it was a buffet style lunch. I would recommend doing this tour if you want to complete several activity’s in one day. My only gripe was the tour guide was a little overwhelming. He constantly checked in on us like we were kids, other than that, the tour was good.
Reviews: Poas Volcano waterfalls and coffee tour from from San Jose

The trip was amazing - very well organized. Charly the driver - was excellent - avoided every traffic jam - and was very good in explaining - both in English and in Spanish. Event though - it was raining period in Costa Rica- it did not matter - because the outdoors (Vulcano and waterfalls) had been put early in the morning, when it was still dry. Afternoon we visited a Coffee farm with food, Coffee and a guided tour through coffee processing- excellent and very interesting. All in all - 5 stars and - highly recommend. Cheers Michel
Reviews: La Leona Waterfall Hike

We absolutely loved our guides (Jonathon and Diego) with leonawaterfall.com! They cared about our safety and made sure that we had fun along the way! I can't say enough good things about them! The hike itself was moderate for me and my sister but a little difficult for my mother in her 60's. Lots of flat ground but there is also quite a bit of scrambling and going up and down slippery rocks. However, in spite of this my mom said it was one of the best experiences!! We also did tubing and that was loads of fun too. Be prepared to get wet! Wear clothes that dry quickly and not bikinis like we saw some wearing. The tour company had dry bags for us so no need for that either. We also saw howler monkeys on our hike. This was a highlight of our 3 weeks in Costa Rica!
