We were going uber to the fountains ourselves and buy tickets but honestly, I’m glad we did it through *** as the area was a mess. Stefano, our guide, was completely delightful and navigated us through the massive crowds near the area that were heading to some big concert in the same area, right up to the front entrance). There are 13 interactive fountains with coordinating Peruvian music and laser lights which tells the history of Peru. Walked around the park and finally found homemade Picarones. They tasted a bit like an Italian zeppole or lighter version of a beignet from New Orleans. However, these were made from sweet potatoes and squash with a drizzle of fig sauce. They were so fresh and delicious.

Dancing fountain show was fascinating, providing an insight into the history of Peru and the Barranco art murals were almost lifelike. Only downside was travelling in the horrendous Lima traffic which accounted for about a third of the tour's duration.

This was such an amazing, wonderful and very unexpected experience. To begin I was unsure why we departed so early in the day but to my surprise once we arrived everything started to unravel and my experience started. Rubi began explaining the history of the park and we stopped at different fountains. She was a wealth of knowledge. I learned so much about Peru’s history, more than I had imaged. We slowly walked around the park as Rubi explained the different fountains, their names and the the statues. We indulged in picarones, which was an added plus, as they are one of my favorites. We took pictures along the way and every fountain so beautiful in its own right. Once we arrived at the main attraction I was mesmerized by the fountain experience as it explained Peru’s history, something I had not expected at all. I will return to be captivated once more with the fountain experience as I felt like I didn’t get enough. To cap off the night we drank pisco sour, all included!

Andy was a pleasant, fantastic tour guide. He spoke clearly and was extremely knowledgeable about everything. He could answer all of our questions. He gave ample time at each location. Oscar was our driver. He was very good at his job.

All was great including the guide. The guided tour was as described. Gabriela spoke excellent English but had to translate into Spanish also
