Details: We cycle through Pedonalja, one of Tirana's most popular pedestrian streets, lined with shops, cafés, and colorful buildings. Just a few minutes away, we reach Toptani Castle, a restored Ottoman-era fortress hidden in plain sight near the city center. Next to the castle, recent excavations have uncovered ancient Illyrian and Roman ruins, including parts of a Roman wall and other foundations dating back over 2,000 years. These discoveries reveal Tirana's deep historical layers, offering a glimpse into the city's past long before it became the capital. Details: At this tour stop, we'll encounter a striking piece of history: a section of the Berlin Wall right here in Tirana.
