Meet at meeting point: Old Fort Mizingani Rd, Zanzibar, Tanzania We will meet at the main entrance of the Fuerte Viejo de Zanzibar (the Old Fort).Attractions and Activities: Old Fort (Free entry) Also known as the Arab Fort and by other names is a fortification located in stone town, the capital of Zanzibar. It is the oldest building in stone town. lt is located on the main seafront, adjacent to another landmark building of the city the House of wonders (the former palace of the Sultan) and facing the Fordhani Gardens. 18 min(s)
Attractions and Activities: Forodhani Gardens (Free entry) Is a small part in the historical City of stone town, Zanzibar, The gardens are located along the main sea walk of stone town, just in front of the famous buildings the House of wonders and Old fort. The gardens are especially busy after sunset, when tourist and local gather in a popular food street market in the main square, to have dinner enjoying Swahili and Zanzibari cousin delicious such as grilled seafood, samosas, cassava sweet potatoes, Zanzibar mix (urojo), Zanzibar pizza. 18 min(s)
It was built in 18th century The grandson of Sultan Said was proclaimed Sultan himself here in 1896 it faces out to sea on mizingani Road. It is worth a visit however to see it's beautifully carved wooden door with fish, lotus and anchor motifs. 18 min(s)

Attractions and Activities: Old Slave Market/Anglican Cathedral (Free entry) For centuries Zanzibar was the fulcrum of political and economic power in East Africa as well as the site of the region most notorious slave. Slave captured on the mainland were brought to Zanzibar in chains to be sold in the city slave market often enduring horrific hardship on their journey. It because the island was so central to the slave trade that it played such as an important role in the abolition of slavery not just in Africa but worldwide.
