Nice way to get around, especially to see the famous monuments and stay dry when it’s raining. Also, less famous places and monuments are pointed out in the audio recording, which is nice to know. The drivers and staff were very friendly and helpful when we had questions. And it was not too crowded in January :-) We started at Victoria, got off at Westminster, walked across the bridge and used the indicated WC at Waterloo Station, then walked up to and across Tower Bridge (passing the HMS Belfast), and finished with the 15 min boat cruise back to Westminster. Thanks to Mark and Bill for making this happen!!! 😊
Reviews: London in WW2 Walking Tour with Churchill War Rooms Visit
Guest User2024-10-16
We booked this tour through “Get Your Guide” and it was a highlight of our time in London. Being from the U.S. we of course know some of the overall history of WW2; but this really brought to life England’s resolute bravery in facing the brunt of the Axis’ force & might. We now have a much better appreciation for the “Keep Calm and Carry On” mindset that it took Londoners/Englanders to face the fear and horror of war straight on. Our guide, Richard, was well informed & passionate about sharing his knowledge & compelling stories. We enjoyed the walking part of the tour and thought the approx. 1 hour allotted for the self-guided portion of time in the Churchill War Rooms was adequate as there was more on display than we could thoroughly absorb.
Reviews: Go City® London Explorer Pass (Including Tower of London/Westminster Abbey/View from the Shard and 90+ Popular Attractions)

I personally think it's very convenient. Planning your travel time and attractions in advance can save you a lot of money. If you can travel as a special forces soldier, buying a day pass can save you a lot.
