On the day of your trip, simply present your personal identification at the visitor center counter to exchange your ticket. Personally, I felt the process wasn't clearly explained; you need to know the corresponding ferry schedule and ticket expiry date to know which counter to go to for ticket collection.★

I went on a solo trip. I took a large bus from Taipei Bus Center, but there were only three passengers, including myself. The tour price was cheap, even though it included the 150 NTD entrance fee to the Kavalan Museum of Traditional Arts and a 200 NTD coupon usable at the Kavalan Whisky Distillery. At the distillery, the staff gave a thorough tour of the factory (though it was in Chinese). However, there was no tour guide, so I didn't know how to get to the hot spring park at the end, but luckily someone on the same tour knew, which was a great help. There is plenty of time for each attraction, so you can enjoy the whole day. I highly recommend it.★
