We were staying in in Asahikawa and our tour guide Rii was wonderful in facilitating us being able to join and leave the tour . She was very helpful throughout the trip and was definitely one of the highlights in our booking.★

Our Chinese-speaking tour guide was from mainland China (Sister Bingbing). The meeting point was easy to find. The zoo was given a fair amount of time for a day trip, but it was just so much fun, and with lunch included, we felt the time was insufficient. The snowmobiles were really fun, and the snow at Shikisai-oka was perfect for snow activities. The guide also recommended the bakery next to the Fairy Terrace; the bread was absolutely delicious. Because the return trip to Sapporo took a while, we only had time for a short visit to the Fairy Terrace. Exploring all the shops on the terrace would take quite a bit of time. However, for just browsing and taking photos, the time was enough! It was my first time on a day trip, and I had a wonderful time. The beautiful snowy scenery along the way was truly breathtaking, especially for someone from my country who rarely sees snow!★

The tour guide is Chinese and speaks Chinese, English, and Japanese, so you don't need to worry about language barriers. I think it's highly recommended to take a tour if you want to visit all the places like Asahiyama Zoo, the Lonely Pine Tree, Whitebeard Falls, etc. The air-conditioned bus is warm and comfortable; you can just take a short nap and arrive at your destination without having to wait for a bus in the cold. Overall, it's a must-try!★

The animals at Asahikawa Zoo were very close to humans, which was a good experience. The Forest Elf Terrace was beautiful, but our tour guide, Xiaoyu, provided very poor service. The parking lot for the Forest Elf Terrace was huge, and the cars were parked very far apart. After getting off the bus, she didn't wait for all the passengers behind to get off before leading the group out, causing us to search for the exit for over 10 minutes. The entire tour was only allotted half an hour, and it took her more than ten minutes just to get from the parking lot to the exit. When we returned, we couldn't find our car and called to say we were late. Her attitude was extremely rude; it felt like she was in a hurry to leave work, didn't want to be delayed, and didn't want to guide us. Her service level needs improvement. Before we got off the bus, she asked everyone to give her a five-star review, which made us feel uncomfortable.★

The scenery was absolutely stunning after the snowfall, with beautiful views all along the way. The zoo was fantastic, especially the Emperor Penguins. There's a penguin walking show after December 12th, but you can already get quite close inside the zoo. All the animals can be observed up close. With only two hours, I recommend taking the middle path down, then exploring the predators on the right, and finally the polar animals on the left, following an S-shaped route. The Lonely Tree offers views from the vehicle, and the Whitebeard Waterfall and Green Pool are absolutely gorgeous. Walking along the path, with the glacier water and the surrounding scenery, felt like stepping into a fairyland. Finally, head to the terrace, which is itself a world-class ski resort. The terrace is filled with exquisite handicrafts, but it gets quite crowded, making it difficult to take photos. The itinerary is tight, so buy plenty of food for the car. If it's snowing, definitely wear crampons, as it's easy to slip and fall when walking from the parking lot to the terrace. Don't be late, as it will delay the entire trip and significantly impact your return journey, as road conditions are not ideal and traffic jams or closures are common.★

Our tour guide, Xiaoyu, was so nice!! During the bus trip, we learned a lot about Hokkaido's history, which was very interesting! She also gave detailed introductions to Hokkaido's highlights and recommended routes, especially the zoo! We were so lucky to get incredibly close to the penguins first!!! The overall tour was amazing, with all the attractions being incredibly beautiful 🩵 Perfect for travelers from Sapporo who can't drive but want to see distant sights!! I have so many wonderful memories!
