Reviews: [Cherry Blossom Season] One-Day Tour of Ancient Temples in Kyoto, Japan + Nara Park with Adorable Deer + Fushimi Inari Shrine

Guide Oh Seok-bong kept the tour engaging from start to finish, providing explanations that kept us from getting bored. He even personally walked up with us and conducted the tour very kindly. Thanks to his constant updates on Japanese culture, daily life, and even the bus travel times, my first trip to Japan has become a wonderful memory. Thank you.

During our free and easy trip with four friends, we took a tour bus for one day. It was great because we could visit Kyoto and Nara from Osaka without any hassle, even though they are quite far apart. Thanks to our kind guide, Seo Geum-bong, who recommended great restaurants in Osaka, our trip was even more enjoyable.

The day trip was a great experience; the itinerary was well-planned and the pace was relaxed and not rushed. We met at the agreed-upon location, and the entire journey was quiet and peaceful. Most importantly, no one kept asking for a review after the trip, which was excellent. It would have been even better if the driver had provided some commentary along the way.

Reviews: Kyoto: 3-Hour Fushimi Inari Shrine Hidden Hiking Tour

What an amazing adventure! Climbing up Mount Inari along the back trails was such a wonderful experience with our guides Reiko and Kumi. They were very friendly, professional and an absolute delight. We stopped many times and they explained the intricacies of shrine etiquette perfectly, going so far as to kindly translate the fortunes that we drew at the shrine at the top of the mountain! The climb itself was fine for seasoned hikers but if you’re an aging Gen X with some extra pounds and bad knees (like myself), there will be moments when you will be questioning your life decisions while you huff and puff your way up the mountain. But it’s beautiful and totally worthwhile. The scent of hinoki trees perfume the air you breathe as you walk past mountain waterfalls, ancient shrines and through a bamboo forest that rivals anything at Arashiyama. And when you get to the top of the mountain, the shrines at the top are stunning. What a reward for just a few hours of hiking!
