Such a fun tour and amazing scenery! I had never been ziplining before so this was an incredible experience, I particularly liked that there were ziplines both through the forest and over the mountains. We also did the Tarzan swing, the rappelling to forest floor, and climb through hollow tree (all optional but included in the tour, and all super unique experiences). Our guides were Joseph and David and they were wonderful - gave us easy and clear instructions, kept us safe throughout, and were entertaining/funny while doing so. They also had a photographer taking pictures on a professional camera, which were available for purchase for just $25 total for my group of 3. I also brought my phone and the tour guides were very accommodating and even took some pictures for the 3 of us on my phone (some of which are uploaded here).

After visiting Monteverde five times, I am convinced that George is the best guide you will find in the area. I used George as a guide for a solo trip a couple of years ago, and most recently while traveling in Costa Rica with my 15-month old and my mother and her two friends. George was so helpful with my baby, carrying my backpack while I carried my babe in a carrier. He was patient with my elderly mother and her friends, allowing us to rest and take a break when needed. He made sure our tours were accessible to my mom and her friends, while still seeing some of the most beautiful birds and animals. George was our guide for hanging bridges, a night tour, birding and a walk to the Continental Divide. He is a very talented photographer, so he will get great photos of you and your family and all of the beautiful things you see. George is well-loved and respected in the community, which means when you come across other guides on your treks, they will tell him the location of where they have recently seen the hard to find animals, like the quetzal! Every time I visit Monteverde, I see new beautiful birds and animals because George is on top of his game. 🦜🌱🐍🌳🌙🦋

The kayaking was fun and not too difficult. The views of the lake and volcano were spectacular. Lots of great birds as well.

We really enjoyed making empanadas and bread with Yolanda and Orlando, and learning about their small farm. The view added to the experience, as did the traditionally prepared coffee from a small nearby farm. They have some cute, handmade souvenirs available as well. So glad we did this!

The whole family truly enjoyed it the opportunity to fly as Superman is unique, you must make the most out of it, the hanging bridges the reptile exhibition. Everything was a very nice experience!!!! We all loved it!!

We had Rosie for our guide and she was very warm and kind. Her knowledge about the birds, animals, and especially plants was incredible. We really appreciated hearing about the medicine that can be made in this lush jungle. We even spotted two resplendent quetzals! This was a great time, would highly recommend.


