Reviews: Palacio Tango: Tango Show at the Piazzolla Theater

On Saturday night, my family and I went to the "Piazzolla Hall at the Tango Palace," a theater located inside the Güemes Gallery on Florida Street in downtown Buenos Aires. Both its name and the show pay homage to Astor Piazzolla: the Argentine bandoneon player, orchestra conductor, arranger, and composer considered one of the most important musicians of the 20th century and one of the greatest exponents of tango worldwide. We made a reservation just for the show, which includes two drinks of our choice, but for those who prefer, there's also the option of a dinner package. We arrived, announced ourselves, and were shown to our assigned table. The event then began on a central stage, featuring a large live orchestra, two excellent singers—one female and one male—and, of course, the dancers... simply breathtaking! The dance performance combined traditional salon tango, stage or fantasy tango, and contemporary styles, all danced with immense artistic skill and passion. Everything was fantastic; the Art Nouveau space was very elegant, the ambiance and atmosphere very pleasant, and the staff attentive. Although it's generally geared towards foreign tourists, as an Argentinian, I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it to be an excellent experience.★

Reviews: Gaucho Day Tour Ranch at an Estancia from Buenos Aires

This was a great tour, with a stop at a silversmith's house before going to the gaucho ranch. On the ranch, we did a "hayrack" ride, watched a gaucho performance with a horse and live music, and had a bountiful dinner (it was nice outside, so we ate in the open air, which was such a treat). ★

Great Cycle Tour of Buenos Aries.
The cycle tour was excellent. We met at the General Marin Statue and the tour would last over 4 hours, covering 16km. Our guide, Julien, was brilliant and we also had a second guide enduring our safe passage across junctions and busy roads - a useful back up. I would recommend this to any visitors as a a quick way to cover a lot of ground, get informed, meet other travellers (we had 10 on our trip) and enjoy Buenos Aries ★

Pick up was on time in a 12-15 passenger van - the host escorted us in passed the line. He stayed with us for the evening & escorted us out to the waiting van. The dinner was excellent with lots of options & the show was outstanding. I liked the variety of dances - show, traditional. The singer, drums & pampas. Our seats were on the lower level of the venue & we had an excellent view.
