1. Agent was super efficient and helpful. Booked transport + tickets through them—cheaper than DIY.
2. Big, comfortable car for 6 adults.
3. Travel is long (3+ hours). Left 7:30 AM, arrived ~10:45 AM. Pickup back at 4:30–5 PM felt a bit rushed—didn’t reach mountain top.
4. Please bring an oxygen tank per pax if you plan to hike the stairs—1 tank lasts 8–10 pumps.
5. No proper restaurants at the top, just small stalls selling snacks, drinks, KFC, etc.
6. After cable car, need a 10-min uphill walk to reach shuttle bus.
7. Driver drove quite fast on the way back—felt a bit risky coming down the mountain. Safety first!
Overall, good experience but schedule could be more relaxed.★

A five-star review for the Jiaozi Snow Mountain night hike! From planning to the summit, every step of the journey was full of surprises, completely exceeding expectations.
We departed from the city at 11:00 AM and met at the scenic area at 3:30 AM. The staff were already there, leading the group in groups with clear and detailed safety instructions. Nearly 80 guides and patrol personnel provided support throughout, and medical emergency personnel were on standby, making us feel very safe. After arriving at the hiking starting point by shuttle bus and cable car, we set off at 5:00 AM following the "river of light" formed by our headlamps. Although the wooden boardwalk was covered in snow and ice, the crampons we had prepared came in very handy. The guardrails along the way were sturdy, and there were directional signs at key points.
The snow-capped mountain in the night was serene and magnificent. Looking up, a sky full of dazzling stars stretched out, so densely packed that they seemed almost within reach. This was a pure night view I had never seen in the city. Although the ascent was tiring, the cheers of my companions and the rustling of snow in the forest soothed me. Occasionally, I could pause to admire the breathtaking night view of Jingguaitang, at an altitude of nearly 4,000 meters.
After two hours of climbing, I finally reached the summit at 4,223 meters before sunrise. As the first rays of golden light pierced the sky, the orange and blue hues of the sunrise painted the river red. The sun slowly rose, and a sea of clouds surged, blanketing the valley. Instantly, all the cold and fatigue vanished. The wind at the summit was strong, but it couldn't dispel the awe and emotion. The more than two thousand strangers in our group cheered together; this shared feeling was especially precious.
The ecological protection of the scenic area also deserves praise. The boardwalks were clean and free of litter, and staff constantly reminded visitors not to trample the vegetation. On the way down, the landscape was covered in a blanket of snow; the post-snow forest resembled a winter wonderland, and every snapshot was a masterpiece.
This night hike, which combines starry skies, sunrise, sea of clouds, and the joy of hiking, offers both the peace of mind of professional support and the healing power of natural wonders. It's an unforgettable experience, and I'm already looking forward to going again!Trip.com Picks
