Our trip to Mauna Kea Summit was amazing! We were VERY fortunate to have perfect weather (clear skies) for a beautiful sunset and excellent, picturesque stargazing! Jess and Rob were our tour guides and they were fabulous! They provided lots of wonderful, historical information on the volcanos, observatories and the stars! They were GREAT! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!★

Although I was worried about the weather, I was able to enjoy the sunset above the clouds from the summit and the starry sky from a little way down. The guide was very attentive and polite. However, although he said he would speak slowly, his English was too fast and I couldn't fully communicate, which was disappointing. I also felt it was important to study basic constellations before participating.★

After our visit to Mauna Kea had been canceled two days earlier due to bad weather conditions, we were able to go this time. We had a good transfer by minibus to a stopover point. There, a colleague took over with a special bus for the mountain trip. We received lots of useful information. We were able to see a fantastic sunset, but unfortunately the clouds covered the starry sky. However, no one could do anything about that, and the team tried very hard to make it a wonderful trip nonetheless. Since it was a full moon, the conditions for a dark sky with better visibility were not ideal from the start, but we already knew that before we booked. Overall, it was a great experience. Highly recommended.★

We were looking for a full island tour with our family and Wasabi didn’t disappoint. The group had 12 people in it so everyone’s questions could be answered.
Our guide Scott was knowledgeable, helpful, entertaining, fun and had a great taste in music (reggae). We visited a coffee plantation, a Hawaiian bakery, the Black Sand Beach with sea turtles, Volcano National Park, dinner, and then stargazing. It was a very full day with great sights and fun people.★

The knowledge of the driver was exceptional! Todd was considerate and attentive to everyone’s various needs from specific interests to various states of mobility. Stargazing at night is cold and some guests were unprepared the tour guide did have extra jackets on board. Perhaps the tour company needs to explain the temperature variations a little clearer in order for people to be more prepared. I absolutely loved this trip!★
