We booked the "Round-the-Island Star Cute Journey" train online, boarding at Taichung Railway Station at approximately 7:18 PM. The train has six carriages: carriages 3 through 6 are business class, and carriages 1 and 2 are the dining car and activity carriages. The business class carriages have a 1+2 seating arrangement. The train offers drinks and food, but on the Taichung to Taipei route, only all-you-can-drink drinks are available. Passengers can sing karaoke and do crafts in the activity carriages, and also enjoy drinks in the dining car. The restaurant also offers stamp collection items and souvenirs. Our two-hour journey was completely enjoyable.

My brother and I booked this tour and felt like we had an amazing full experience of hualien’s surroundings. Not only was it luxurious and relaxing, our tour guide Mr Chen was also fantastic. Although it’s unfortunate Taroko was so badly affected by the earthquake last year, I still felt like we got to see as much as we could off the trails and had a great day!

The Keisei Skyliner fares are approximately 30% higher than regular lines, but it offers high efficiency and a comfortable ride. The line provides direct access to the Ueno and Nippori areas, making it ideal for travelers staying in these regions. If your accommodation is not near Ueno or Nippori, you don't need to transfer on this line; you can directly use the subway. The trains are in excellent condition, and the service and environment are top-notch. All seats are reserved. Tickets purchased through Ctrip are instantly valid, and you can also buy them on-site, which is very convenient.

I used this service for my trip from Kaohsiung to Nangang. I found a promotion on another website where one ticket was free for two people traveling to Taichung, so I booked tickets from Kaohsiung to Taichung (1,661 yen per person) and from Taichung to Nangang (3,166 yen per person), allowing me to travel to Taipei for a total of 4,827 yen one way! I had to change seats in Taichung, but I was very happy with the low cost!

I recently went to Nagoya alone, and while I didn't really need this, it's cheaper than buying a regular ticket. Just scan the QR code on the app voucher and enter. It's super easy! I took the MuSky and reserved a separate seat for that train. (I made the reservation while waiting in line at immigration after getting off the plane.)
