Overlooking Mt Kazbek, a dormant volcano on the border between Georgia and North Ossetia with an elevation of approximately 5,000 meters, it is the third highest mountain in Georgia.
Ananuri Fortress Complex: Built in the 13th century, this ancient military fortress is now a landmark of Georgia and has been featured on the cover of Lonely Planet.

After entering the castle, turn left and head upwards inside. The castle has 3 floors. The small window on the 1st floor is also photogenic, but it's not the same as the cover shot. Continue ascending via a very narrow staircase to reach the 2nd floor, where you'll find a small window in the middle – this is the exact spot to capture that iconic cover shot~
After taking photos, you can continue up to the 3rd floor to reach the fortress top for panoramic views.
