Reviews: New Orleans Steamboat Natchez Jazz Cruise

Everything was very smooth. I walked over in ~8 minutes from my Q&C Hotel. I went on a 55 degree January weekday and the boat was nowhere near full which was nice and spacious with plenty of seating. The narration was well done and had some jokes. The band was okay a nice addition. The lunch was very tasty and for $20 extra a great deal in New Orleans. They will provide you 2nds if you ask. I recommend getting first meal because the boat does not leave port for the first 45 minutes which is boring otherwise. 2nd meal you will miss most the scenery. The ride is 45 min down river then turn around and 45 min back up. I enjoyed a Panama Canal boat ride last year more than this, but this is a must-do if in New Orleans for the first time!

The captain did an excellent job of giving history of the river and the happenings that took place. The libations and snacks were very good and reasonably priced. Would recommend this tour to family and friends.
Reviews: New Orleans: Sunday Steamboat Jazz Cruise + Optional Brunch
Guest User2025-12-08
We really enjoyed it. We did think it needed minor improvements. There was no band on the way in (as per the description), we didn’t expect brunch to be so early. It could have been done on the 2nd leg as we were still eating when the guide was talking and it wasn’t very clear in the restaurant area. We only caught the end of the band after we ate, had a tour of the boat then sat down to listen to the music. It was fun, just needs a bit of tweaking to make it 5 stars.
Reviews: New Orleans Steamboat Natchez Jazz Cruise with Dinner Option

The dinner buffet was so good. I really enjoyed the creole pasta. Perfect sun setting excursion on Mississippi River. I just wish they got us out of the sweltering heat faster and aboard.
Reviews: New Orleans: City Tour & Steamboat Daytime Jazz Cruise Combo

Unfortunately, the boat tour mostly took us through the harbor area, which was probably due to time constraints. However, the bus tour was much better. The guide (Harris) was relaxed and showed us interesting things in the city (cemeteries, architecture, museums, etc.) and provided a lot of information. I highly recommend it. A lovely tour.

We enjoyed the history of the buildings and the jokes scattered within. I’ve already recommended this tour to people I know.
