Reviews: 1.5-Hour Roman Theater and Alcazaba Castle Walking Tour
Guest User2025-10-31
Our guide was very informative and we enjoyed our visit to the Alcazaba. Unfortunately, it poured with rain, which meant we hurried from points of interest to the next. I'm sure if the weather had been dry, we would have had more time to stop and take in the great views over Malaga. Certainly worth a visit. Some beautiful courtyards and Moorish decoration. The narrow walled pathways and multiple military gates would have made attacks to the fortress very difficult for attacking forces. Much of the upper levels are not open to the public. We met at the glass pyramid next to the Roman Theatre and our guide talked about the discovery of the ruins, but we were not taken into the area, only viewed from the pavement. It appears that you would pay admission to this separately.

Ando was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable about the local area able to give good tips to eat. Great way to see the city. Beautiful views and fantastic insight into the rich history of Malaga. Would definitely recommend at the start of your trip as it gives ideas of what to see and visit during your stay.
Reviews: Museo Picasso Málaga entrance tickets

Well-organized and friendly museum staff. Detailed stories, periods, and paintings of Picasso provide a clearer understanding of his career, from his early works to his more mature pieces. The development of Cubism and what I saw at the museum—the sculptures and ceramics—were also covered. I would return.

It was a cloudy day but the ride was still fantastic. We sat (or laid bellies down) on the net sitting area. What an experience!
Reviews: Malaga: Picasso Museum Guided Tour with Skip-the-Line Ticket
Guest User2026-01-12
A fantastic visit! Our guide, Esther, introduced us to Picasso from a fresh perspective (which is also the focus of the exhibition): "unity of a life's work," meaning discovering the unity within Picasso's entire body of work instead of the traditional classification by "period"—a very interesting approach. Esther is highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Time flew by. The only minor drawback, which doesn't detract from the overall quality of the visit, is that we sometimes moved very quickly past certain works, but this is understandable given the time spent admiring some of the masterpieces. We highly recommend this tour.
