I booked a VIP tour this time, and the itinerary was very packed, with five or six boat trips in total, making it a fairly in-depth tour.
The Mekong River didn't look very clear; the water was quite yellow and covered with water hyacinths, but there was no unpleasant odor.
The island had many plants (various fruits) and animals (pythons, crocodiles, catfish, etc.), and the guide led the tour, providing very enthusiastic explanations. At the narrow section of the river where boats were manually rowed, the guide mentioned that a tip was expected for the rowers. Before the tour ended, the guide suggested that if we were satisfied with the trip, we could also tip him; I felt I had to give him something, otherwise I'd feel awkward.★

A trip really comes down to the environment and the tour guide. Jimmy was an experienced and energetic guide and host which multiplied the entire experience make sure you give that guy a raise. The tunnels are a must and both an educational and exciting experience. I didn’t find the river as exciting however Jimmy and new friends made the experience worthwhile. Definitely go with this company and hope to get Jimmy!★

The most satisfying part of the trip; the experience was great. It was a good thing that the shopping locations listed on the website were clearly indicated, and there was no forced shopping or excessive persuasion, nor was there any pressure to stay a certain amount of time. You could stay longer if you were interested, and simply move on if you weren't. The meals, fruits, and activities were all good.★

The tour was exactly as described. Even though the minibus was full, the small number of people made it comfortable. The guide was always nearby, so I felt safe. Everyone else on the tour was very kind, and we had a wonderful day. Tips and drinks are separate, but no one pressured us into buying souvenirs; we only paid if we wanted to. Water and a coconut drink were provided on the boat before we left. It was sweet and delicious. You can feed the crocodiles for 60 yen. The crocodiles wait with their mouths open. They won't eat unless you put food in their mouths. My kids loved it. I was also happy to have the opportunity to wrap a snake around them.
