Reviews: Hohhot Xilamuren Prairie 1-day tour | Pure play no shopping | Horseback riding | Hand-pulled lamb |

Choosing the right season and checking the weather forecast are crucial for a trip to the grasslands. In mid-May, the grass hadn't grown yet, and with strong winds, horseback riding was incredibly cold! Remember to check the weather forecast before you go! I don't recommend the off-road vehicle activity, but other activities are worth trying! Overall, it was a good experience! Inside the yurt, Gegeqi provided a detailed explanation of history and Mongolian customs, which was educational and made me marvel at Genghis Khan's greatness! Our guide, Li, provided engaging and humorous commentary throughout the trip!
Reviews: Yinkentala Desert 1-day tour [Pure play with no shopping | Includes 280 CNY desert combo ticket]

It was a really fun experience and well worth the price. The tour guide/driver was very friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond, even though my Chinese is not great. He helped take lots of nice pictures and was clearly very familiar with the area. Lots of fun activities and a very friendly atmosphere throughout the whole day.

This day trip to the grasslands truly exceeded my expectations, deserving a five-star rating! The entire itinerary, from departure to return, was exceptionally well-planned. The driver was steady and punctual, and the tour guide was enthusiastic, attentive, and professional, providing engaging explanations of local customs and grassland culture. The grassland scenery was breathtaking—endless blue skies and white clouds, lush green grass, and fresh air; every snapshot was a masterpiece, offering a truly relaxing experience. The activities were plentiful and fun, including horseback riding, archery, and experiencing nomadic life, which both children and adults thoroughly enjoyed. Lunch featured local specialties—generous portions, authentic flavors, and a very satisfying meal. There were no forced purchases or hidden tricks, making it incredibly cost-effective. The overall service was attentive and thoughtful, the itinerary relaxed and unhurried, resulting in a perfect experience! I highly recommend this tour to anyone planning a grassland trip; you won't regret choosing this company, and I'll definitely choose them again next time!
Reviews: Shanghai Departure Suzhou 1-day Tour: Humble Administrator's Garden, Hanshan Temple, Zhouzhuang (Optional Private/Join-in Tour)
Guest User2026-03-17
Overall, well planned and good experience. Tour guide was very helpful and informative. Van was new, large, and clean. We did a private tour and communication was good via WeChat. We were picked up at 8:30am and returned back to the hotel at 7:45pm. It was a long day visiting both Suzhou and Zhouzhuang, but I don’t think it would be worth visiting on two separate days. The reason for only 4 stars was that we were charged an additional 3 hours at 150 RMB/hr. After the booking was confirmed, the tour operator said the tour is only for 8 hours of time even though the description on Trip.com said the tour would be 9am-8pm. Seemed like a bit of a bait and switch. They should just put that on the description if there are additional hourly charges.
